When investigator Bjørn visits a forensic officer to identify a young woman, he is horrified to find his own daughter lying on the autopsy table. The forensic officer regards it as a suicide, but Bjørn refuses to believe that his daughter has taken her own life. As the evidenec begins to point towards murder, a prodigious, furious and sorrow-stricken Bjørn begins to chat the last day of his daughter’s life. This sends him on a whirlwind journey through the night, where he encounters people who each meant something crucial to his daughter, revealing a network of truths, lies and criminal acts woven into her and Bjørn’s own life. In order to understand his daughter’s death, Bjørn must confront himself – until he finally faces the unavoidable truth of why she died.

THE COMPANY

Miso Film was founded in 2004 by the producer team Jonas Allen and Peter Bose, who started their collaboration on the Swedish thriller and crime series BECK and WALLANDER. The company is behind and most known for the Danish TV-series THOSE WHO KILL, three seasons of TV 2’s DICTE, Ole Bornedal’s war epic 1864 and latest Christoffer Boe’s highly acclaimed WARRIOR and the popular Viaplay original DARKNESS – THOSE WHO KILL, a reboot of the successful series. Miso Film is also located in Norway, where they have produced the film series VARG VEUM as well as the TV-series AQUITTED, and two seasons of MODUS in Sweden, a TV-series based on Anne Holts crime novels.

On the big screen Miso Film has featured with the thriller success THE CANDIDATE as well as co-produced the Norwegian World War II resistance drama MAX MANUS. Furthermore, the company is behind the Danish comedies LONG STORY SHORT and HEAVY LOAD, the family film franchise IQBAL FAROOQ based on Manu Sareen’s childrens books and latest Ole Bornedal’s box-office hits SMALL TOWN KILLERS and THE WAY TO MANDALAY. The company is behind Scandinavia’s first original Netflix series THE RAIN and is currently producing the second season of the popular young adult series. Additionally, the company is finishing Christoffer Boe’s highly anticipated crime series FACE TO FACE, which is set to premiere on Viaplay in the fall of 2019.
